Are traditionally poor Americans being unfairly prejudiced against by the nouveau poor? The Onion says, yes.
Those who have been sleeping in vacant lots their whole lives are remarkably narrow-minded to those who weren’t born poor. Poverty should not be a club with locked doors.
What makes America so special is that — no matter what advantages you were born with — you may be eating mustard and relish packets by the end of the month.
