Russia Today’s ‘Breaking the Set’ Host, Abby Martin describes the bizarre threats and intimidation that she underwent after asking Ran Paul why he had supported Mitt Romney during the 2012 Presidential campaign.
He unleashed the full fury of Senate Media Relations Committee upon her, who threatened to strip her of her press credentials and to arrest her for harassment and “ambush journalism”. Her response is, “If the mainstream media won’t ask these questions, who will?”
Rand Paul, son of Ron Paul, has been seen by many as the last possible hope for reforming the corruption within the US Senate, but after this experience, Martin can only opine: “He’s a sell-out to the Republican establishment.”
She then discuses the new show she is putting together about breaking the polarizing illlusion of the “Left-Right” paradigm, the Surveillance State and the rampant growth of government, which will debut on RT later this year.
