Did you know you can take a vertical wind turbine, add two neodymium magnets and get the turbine to fly?
It’s not that there is no friction — but it’s less than with ball bearings. The magnets work very well — as they get close together — to support a heavy load. Awesomely, these magnets can make turbines a lot quieter.
This fun-loving individual has not only created an impromptu magnetic turbine, he uses it to create colorful spin art.
