This inventor describes the features of the OCPMM, commonly known as the WhipMag. Gently moving the rotating stator on the outside causes the WhipMag to take off — after a few tries, anyway.

Pulleys allow for friction testing. And the stator magnets will spin gear-wise. Amazingly once the spinning gets going, the assembly accelerates. A little magnet on this thing is going 4,200 revolutions per minute. The main is going 1,700 RPMs.

Once two side magnets are stopped, the WhipMag starts to go even faster — up to 5,000 RPMs!
