For the first time in nearly 40 million years, possibly millions of King Crab are invading the Antarctic slope and threatening organisms that fight cancer.

Now that ocean water temperatures are increasing, that’s allowed the King Crab to move into shallower waters. And they’re preying on animals that have never had to defend themselves from a stalker who can crush them. It’s changing a whole ecosystem.

Could anthropogenic global warming actually be damaging humans’ ability to fight off cancer?
