Inventor, Ron Harwood dismisses claims that this is invasive “spook technology,” claiming that the lights have a more civic-minded mission; to help crime victims by shining a red light on detected criminal activity and by also being kind enough to warn people “Not to fall off of Niagara Falls.”
Already installed in several cities at the time of this story’s broadcast, Harwood was also negotiating a deal with the Department of Homeland Security.
