What’s bothering most people is that radiation from the Japanese Fukushima disaster has reached the West Coast. If all things remain the same, all of the radiation levels stayed within safe realms.
If you are exposed to radiation, you need to decontaminate yourself. First, even if you’ve been wearing raingear, you need to grab a garden hose and lightly spray yourself down. Just simply moisten your clothing so that when you remove it, the radiation doesn’t contaminate other areas. If you’ve got a plastic bag, put them in there.
Secondly, go into your home and go directly to your shower. Leave your particle mask on. Scrub thoroughly. If you have open wounds, wash them last.
