This is a very informative and well-presented non-professional documentary presented by Robert Evans about the giant stone balls of Costa Rica, whose significance remain mysterious. Little is known about the makers of these balls, other than that the pre-Columbian culture was neither Mesoamerican nor Andean.
It is generally agreed that the ancestors of Costa Rican Indians were of an ethnically and linguistically distinct group known as Isthmo-Colombian, who migrated to the Isthmus of Panama region from the Amazon Basin. An advanced culture called the Chibcha flourished in 600 BCE, producing beautiful works in gold, agate and jade — and giant granite balls.
