We’ve been creatures into space for a long time. But one extremophile really takes the cake.
Tardigrades, or “water bears,” are special because they can withstand the vacuum of space. Could they have come from space, if they can withstand that vacuum?
The truth is that they can only take the vacuum for a few days. So the evidence that they could have come from any farther than the moon, exposed to that vacuum, is iffy.
