Earth: Time-Lapse View from Space

Crews from Expeditions 28 and 29 on the International Space Station shot these pictures at around 350 kilometers up. These are absolutely gorgeous pictures of the Aurora Borealis set to music almost equally as beatiful.

At first you can see theUnited States, then Madagascar, Australia.

Then the video moves to the Pacific Ocean.

After that, you fly over the Sahara Desert and Southwest Asia/Northern Africa.

It’s the closet most of us will get to being astronauts ourselves!
