    Anatomist, Dr. Jeffrey Meldrum estimates how the bones in the feet of these creatures might interact to create the characteristics found in his sample of footprints, which come from all over the Continent and were collected over a span four decades. To him, the consistency of the evidence suggests an animal with elongated prehensile toes and a long propulsive heel, rather than a series of random hoaxes.

    He has said that the fossil remains of an ancient giant ape called Gigantopithecus may one day be proven to be ancestor of the elusive Bigfoot of today.
