Here’s another good example of whales outsmarting people. Giant blue-fin tuna are on the losing end of human needs. A fish that big will net the crew $2,000. Every summer after spawning blue-fin tuna migrate to the Atlantic Ocean.

Killer whales, along with fisherman, are waiting. Concrete blocks take the bait down to 2,000 meters because tuna swim deep and fast. With the line paid out, the crew can only wait and hope. But they must also watch the whales.

These Killer Whales began stealing fishermen’ catch in Italy about 30 years ago. Now, the culture has spread among two local pods. The fishing boats don’t stand a chance…
