This shows some technology now being perfected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA. It’s kind of creepy stuff.

The Legged Squad Support System, in theory, will be able to serve, by itself, on uneven terrain to help carry cargo for teams of soldiers.

This is its predecessor, BigDog, developed by Boston Dynamics, Harvard’s Concord Field Station and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at NASA.
