The single largest bioterrorist attack in US history was carried out in 1984 by a leading group of followers of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (now known as Osho).
They were hoping to incapacitate the voting population of a city so that their own candidates would win the 1984 Wasco County, Oregon elections.
