Aldous Huxley wrote some of the most popular science fiction books of the 20th century. On the day he died from cancer in 1963, he asked his second wife, Laura, to inject him with LSD.

This was the same day that JFK was assassinated.

Huxley wrote his final wishes. His wife filled a syringe with it and described his state as very quiet. He squeezed her hand very quietly.

Then he asked for more.
