Festo is German, privately owned automation company. They market and distribute electric and pneumatic transducers to auto companies.

Festo has produced a marvelous device that works using the same principles that we find in jellyfish. It’s basically a blimp. Using a remote control, this demonstrator is able to use the beautiful machines limbs to navigate it in an atrium.

It’s the first indoor flying object with peristaltic propulsion. Eight tentacles powered by an electric drive let the jellyfish float through the air.
