Dublin North Clare Daly, of the Independent Party, in the Irish Parliament lets the United States’ elites know that Ireland won’t be some lame client state of the imperialists. She mocks the opposition and the US president, suggesting that the overly deferential would see the Irish people put on leprechaun hats to please the visiting “Irish” US president.
