An FKTV.is subscriber has sent in this exclusive footage of what’s been happening happening on the ground, in the wake of the first Presidential election to be held in the African country of Uganda in several decades.

An angry mob is shown discovering stolen ballot papers in a government
official’s car, after the first election to held be in that country
since the beginning of the 30-year rule by military leader, Yoweri
Museveni.

When Museveni’s victory was announced, many people
suspected voter fraud. This cellphone footage does appear to show
evidence of this. This footage was uploaded to a social media site
before all such sites in Uganda were taken down.

Opposition
leader Kizza Besigye’s party, the Forum for Democratic Change, rejected
the results and demanded an independent audit of the elections. He has
since been put under house arrest. Militarized police are on the streets
and most people in Uganda dare not challenge the result.

There
has been no easy way of knowing what is truly happening, apart from what
is propagated in the mainstream news, due to the social media lockdown.

The subscriber who sent this footage to me wrote, “I
could not help thinking the contradiction that the Egyptian President
had to be taken over after a 30-year rule and the West supported it; yet
it is okay for Museveni to keep ruling.”
