In a new article for the London Review of Books, Seymour Hersh claims that the special forces operators who assassinated Osama bin Laden blasted the al-Qaeda leader’s body apart with gunfire before throwing its pieces out of a helicopter. The new allegations of cover-up by Navy officials, who claimed to bury bin Laden at sea, come a decade after Hersh described children being raped before cameras in a US-run prison in Iraq.
According to a transcript of an entire 2004 American Civil Liberties Union event, Hersh said Iraqi women were demanding euthanasia following the videotaping of their sons’ rapes in Abu Ghraib. Jonathan Ide of the blog Past Peak transcribed an American Civil Liberties Union annual meeting, the entirety of which – along with the intimation that Bush and Cheney were criminally culpable for videotaping child rape – is now available from neither the ACLU’s website nor YouTube.
In the original stream, 15 minutes past the point Forbidden Knowledge TV has cued in the ACLU archive footage, Hersh reportedly told the crowd at a 2004 ACLU meeting: “And basically what happened is that those women who were arrested with young boys, children, in cases that have been
recorded, the boys were sodomized, with the cameras rolling, and the worst above all of them is the soundtrack of the boys shrieking. That your government has, and they’re in total terror it’s going to come out.â€
As of 2015, at that point in newer video from its archive, the ACLU devotes bandwidth to an act by comedian Greg Proops, and his jokes about legalizing both gay marriage and steroid use in professional baseball.
