In England, awaiting what many anticipated would be his successful extradition to Sweden on a sexual assault inquiry, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said that Facebook was “the most appalling spying machine that has ever been invented.”
He added that it’s the world’s most comprehensive database about people’s relationships, their relatives, their locations — all sitting in the United States, all accessible to U.S. intelligence.
