UFO? Try Top Secret military aircraft. These are the most mysterious military airplanes, jets and space planes flying today, including the infamous Aurora black triangle, the Boeing X-37, the new Northrop Grumman unmanned RQ-180 stealth drone, the Blackstar space bomber, and the stealth Black Hawk helicopters that have a ‘silent mode.’
I had the unexpected experience, of hearing about these silent Black Hawk helicopters, in the early ’90s, when the Executive Producer of ‘ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings’ (RIP) would often visit the apartment I was then sharing in New York City with my then-Calvin Klein fit-model roommate, whom he was dating.
This Executive Producer was extremely worried because his camera crew had wandered into “Verboten” territory, while “breaking” the story about Area 51 in the Mainstream Media (by then, old news in the alternative media, which at that time consisted of samizdat-style, photocopied newsletters – in this case, inspired, in part, by the telephone book thick Val Valerian ‘Matrix’ series, that I was then reading, and which were prominently displayed on the coffee table in that apartment).
The ABC crew had been caught off-guard by a completely silent helicopter, while they hid in a an underpass. A private security crew (likely Wackenhut employees) quickly descended from the chopper and promptly imprisoned the TV news crew.
This highly-connected Executive Producer of a major TV news show in the early ’90s, sat in my apartment, in a state of complete horror, at the prospect that his crew might all simply be murdered.
Let’s put this into perspective: This Executive Producer came from a CIA family, where he’d grown up in Middle Eastern countries, with his father acting as the US Ambassador. He wasn’t an unconnected guy from Podunk. He knew the seamy underbelly of the geopolitical realm.
But nothing had prepared him for the wild world of Black Budget projects. He was ravaged by guilt and concern for the TV crew he had sent out on this task, as it was clear to him, that whatever was going on at Area 51 at that time, it behaved like a completely lawless operation, in a way which, even this wizened CFR member and CIA insider had NEVER personally experienced.
The happy ending of this story, is that his TV crew was released, after 3 scary days of interrogation, shaken AND stirred – but OK!

Each plane featured here represents a Black Project-developed craft, under the watch of the US Air Force, the US Navy, the CIA, the US Army and/or NASA. With numerous sightings, they’ve been the subject of conspiracy theories and investigations for decades.
Tested in Top Secret locations like Area 51, evidence and footage is very difficult to obtain besides rumors of their existence. They’re often only uncovered after a crash – although any air crash investigations are immediately covered-up.
